Today, 11th September 2008, is the opening day of the new bike sharing system, called GIMME BIKE, that Whirpool and Varese Municipality strongly supported for the town of Varese.
Appointment in Piazza della Repubblica (Via Dazio vecchio), at 11.00 a.m., near to the bike station No. 1.
The project consists of 4 bike stations, located downtown: they are a gift of Whirpool Europe to Varese Municipality to promote the sustainable mobility and to stress the importance of the environmental politics.
Gimme Bike is part of a larger project, called Vainbici: its goal is to promote sustainable mobility politics and various organizations are taking part to its realization:  Asl - Fiab Ciclocitta - Legambiente Varese - Proloco Varese - Varese Europea - Varese Risorse.
